Re: Emuladores de Ajedrez de MESS
Hi,
I've now uploaded my new complete package CB-Emu 2019 on my website.
The protocol file is now called 'gamelog.pgn' (instead of 'gamelog.txt'), and it has also a minimal PGN header,
so now this file can be opened with most chess GUIs (e.g. Arena, Shredder, ...) like any other PGN file.
And there's a new option 'File > Stop Logging Moves' in the engine window, where you can switch off (and on again)
this logging of the moves in 'gamelog.pgn' (this setting is automatically reset after a HardReset or when starting
a new module, it is not changed for a 'New game' or a SoftReset).
This is useful if you want to set up a special postion (e.g. for chess problems), because otherwise all mouseclicks
on the board during this 'Setup mode' will be recorded in 'gamelog.pgn' as moves (for most modules except Fidelitys
and Novags), which makes no sense of course.
Or you can edit a possible wrong under-promotion piece (See point 4 in the included file 'Readme.txt'!).

Re: Emuladores de Ajedrez de MESS
Hi,
in the last days I've created a new package 'MAME-Chess_UCI+WB' -
this is a slightly modified version of the current MAME 0.205 (I've removed all non-chess devices) and includes the
MAME-plugin 'chessengine' (from Sandro Ronco).
With this package it's possible (and very easy) to use all those MAME chess modules (about 140) in any UCI- or WB-GUI
just like any other UCI/WB engine.
My package contains everything that is needed (also the ROMs), see the file 'Readme.txt' for short instructions
how to use these engines in UCI- or WB-GUIs (e.g Arena, WinBoard etc.).
You'll find this new package (together with my latest complete CB-Emu package with all updates) on my web-folder:

Re: Emuladores de Ajedrez de MESS
Well, I just saw, that 2 modules gave still error messages, and I've now switched from MAME to MESS,
because this is better than MAME (and has a few other advantages).
So I'll still have to do some work and I'll upload the package with MESS later ...

Re: Emuladores de Ajedrez de MESS
hello, excuse me do need to use wb2uci for engine installation?
Re: Emuladores de Ajedrez de MESS
No, it supports UCI and WB without any adaptor.
But it doesn't really work well in Arena, because Arena always closes the engine window, so you can't change
any engine settings (level, time ...) and just can play with default settings - I've not yet found a solution for it.
(there are reports that the CuteChess GUI is working better with this MAME package)
