You can plug in a joystick in port 1 or a mouse in port 2 for better controls.
mame c64p -cart1 fcc -joy2 mouse

Gracias, hap!!

Mucho mejor con el ratón. Aunque en el Spectrum de los 80 nos arreglábamos para hacerlo funcionar...

Simplemente copia este bat

https://www.mediafire.com/file/ho5ha3vr ... e.bat/file

en la carpeta mame_fcc y ejecútalo.

Se accede a las funciones pulsando ALT

Disfrutadlo, y el siguiente paso debería ser ChessMachine...

Saludos,
Luis

Hi,

there's now a new package (Tasc-FCC) in my download folder ... :)
(thanks to 'hap' for making drivers for these machines!)

Hi hap,

I have a question about this great FCC emulation (for the PC):
Would it be possible to also support a harddisk image in the at486?
If yes, what steps would be necessary to do it?
(maybe there's already any example on the MAME pages which I could examine?)

Booting MS-DOS from a harddisk would of course be much faster, and furthermore
it would be possible to add other DOS chess programs to this harddisk, too.
I already have such a harddisk image in my Chess-DOS-VirtualMachine package,
it also has an IMG format (from the 'qemu' emulator), but I doubt that this could
be used directly in the MAME emulation!?

Regards,
CBF

Yes, you can create an empty harddisk with chdman, and then install DOS on it.

example:
chdman createhd -chs 1024,15,17 -o hdd.chd -c none
This is harddisk "type 32" in the AMI BIOS, 128MB.

See PM for the one I made.

Tasc later made ChessMachine https://www.schach-computer.info/wiki/i ... essMachine
There's no ROM on the card, just CPU and RAM. It may be possible to emulate this too, if someone can share the PC chess programs.

WOW, the emulation of the ChessMachine would indeed be great!

I'll send you the disk images via PM ... :)

I couldn't get it working =(

The installer detects the card. The ChessMachine software also detects the card. It does a few self tests (PC<->ARM comms, RAM test, chess program checksum), they all work. It uploads the chessprogram fine too. But when it needs to start the game it locks up.
